Case Study 2

MODERN WAREHOUSING CASE STUDY

THE CLIENT

The client is one of the largest MNCs in the consumer healthcare and FMCG space.

THE CHALLENGES

The client had planned to consolidate 80% of all its SKUs in a single Central Distribution Centre (CDC). They were looking for a professional 3PL partner who could bring the required technology and operational expertise.

APPROACH AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Data Analytics: The Solutions Design team analysed the available data to arrive at an optimal warehouse layout and improve upon current processes.

Technology: Since the infrastructure was state-of-the-art, with palletized racking going upto G+6 levels, a best-in-class WMS was shortlisted for implementation.

Process Driven: Patchems team worked intensively with the client to define processes and align KPIs.

Re-alignment of Distribution: CDC was fulfilling pan India requirements, therefore our team relooked at transportation vendors, costs and optimization while working to increase fill rates

OUTCOME

Patchems won the contract due to its understanding, clarity, operational expertise and synergies. The team got into implementation mode very quickly without affecting the ongoing fulfilment cycle and fill rates.
